ROSEN USA is looking for a Junior Associate Attorney with 2 years experience that will be based in Houston, TX.  This position reports directly to the Head of Legal and Compliance and will be a part of the Legal & Compliance team.  This position is will provide legal support for the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America.

 
What role you will play in our team?
The Junior Associate Attorney is responsible for negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and researching a wide variety of agreements for the Company and its stakeholders. The position requires strict alignment with the Company’s focus to mitigate legal and reputational risks, continuous collaboration with stakeholders to evaluate such risks and provide adequate risk management solutions. Corporate Counsel will ensure that the Company is conducting its business in compliance with applicable national and international laws and regulations, and counsel will assist in developing and standardizing internal policies and guidelines in accordance with best practices and legal standards.

Responsibilities:

What will I be doing?

•    Draft, review, and negotiate routine and complex services contracts, both for customers and suppliers
•    Have experience negotiating high-risk provisions, including indemnification, intellectual property, consequential damages, limitation of liability, and warranties
•    Identify risks in supply chain and services contracts 
•    Draft various legal documents, including amendments and letters
•    Attend and participate in meetings, including interdepartmental, with leadership, and with customers and suppliers
•    Stay informed regarding legal and regulatory changes and perform legal research as needed
•    Assist in managing insurance claims through the claims cycle, including auto insurance claims
•    Provide support for regional legal and compliance initiatives
•    Provide legal for non-attorney stakeholders
 

REQUIREMENTS

What are we looking for?
•    Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admitted to Texas State Bar in good standing
•    2 years of practice experience, in-house or with a law firm with a substantial corporate practice

Qualification or Skills:

•    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•    Knowledge and experience with Word, specifically the Track Changes function, and redlining PDFs in Foxit and Adobe
•    Must be able to work independently
