ROSEN USA seeks to employ an HSE Coordinator. This role will provide technical HSE expertise to all levels within the organization, interpreting data, identifying hazards, assessing risk and implementing solutions to prevent injury/illness, environmental impact or property damage.

 

The HSE Coordinator will provide support to leadership in communicating HSE goals, programs, and processes. In this role, candidate will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and support short-term and long-term business goals.

Responsibilities:

•    The HSE Coordinator shall ensure satisfactory compliance with client required online management databases. Databases include: ISNetworld, PEC Premier, Avetta/Browz, Veriforce, etc. 
•    Manage employee D&A Programs: DOT, Non-Dot, DISA, etc. 
•    The HSE Coordinator shall support USDOT compliance and driving program to ensure compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and best practices in driving safety.  
•    Execute and enforce HSE policies within the organization
•    Collaborate closely with all departments to integrate HSE consideration in operational processes and decision making
•    Identify hazardous conditions in the work place and promote safe work practices.
•    Ensure documentation is updated and maintained in accordance with local, state and federal regulations (this includes but is not limited to OSHA 300 and 300A Logs, Legal and Compliance registers). 
•    Review and evaluate Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA) with employees and third party contractors
•    Conduct incident investigations, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Identify corrective actions and maintain incident reporting in database 
•    Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills and ensure availability of necessary safety equipment
•    Assist with the record and analysis of QHSE indicators and preparation of assigned QHSE reports for internal and external stakeholders
•    Facilitate and/or manage internal and external employee training programs and competencies (ex. hot work/welding; fall protection; assured grounding, lifts/rigging, tool and equipment inspections, etc.)
•    Conduct internal HSE inspections, internal audits (OSHA, USDOT, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) and participate in external supplier audits, and field verification audits.
•    Review client contracts, complete HSE questionnaires & provide HSE statistical documentation for bid and proposal purposes. 

REQUIREMENTS

Local Houston area applicants only, relocation and/or sponsorship not available.

Qualification or Skills:

•    Minimum 5 years practical HSE experience.
•    Experience with management systems compliant to OHSAS 18001 (or ISO 45001) and ISO 14001 standards.
•    Commitment to working safely and participating in all HSE programs. Must have the desire to assist the Company in promoting a healthy, incident free workplace.
•    Must be able to communicate with management as well as with employees of all levels in the organization to help ensure clear understanding of Company HSE guidelines, rules, policies, and procedures.
•    Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
•    Travel within the region is required, (USA) possible international travel.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in the Oil and Gas industry 
•    CHSO (Certified Health and Safety Official) certification(s) or OHST (Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technologist) preferred.
•    Bachelor of Science degree
