Business Development Manager

ROSEN USA, based in Houston, TX seeks to employ a Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager serves as the region’s strategic customer and market insight lead. The role ensures that strategic decisions, portfolio direction, and priorities are rooted in deep customer understanding and regional market dynamics. This is a forward-looking function responsible for linking customer value, regional opportunity spaces, operational feasibility, and service capability. The role guides regional growth and value creation within the division by shaping opportunity pipelines, influencing portfolio evolution, and aligning delivery and financial models to regional realities.

Responsibilities:

Customer Insight, Market Intelligence & Opportunity Shaping
• Maintain a continuous, structured presence in the region to understand customer operational environments, 
value drivers, constraints, and priorities.
• Analyze regional competitive landscapes, long-term trends, infrastructure maturity, and regulatory drivers.
• Engage customers through strategic dialogues, workshops, and account planning to validate needs and 
define opportunity spaces.
• Serve as the regional “voice of the customer,” ensuring accurate translation of customer value into 
organizational priorities.


Portfolio Definition, Mapping & Value-Driven Gap Analysis
• Map regional customer needs against existing offering portfolios to identify capability, technology, or delivery gaps.
• Prioritize opportunities based on regional value pools, competitive differentiation, and feasibility.
• Recommend portfolio adaptations, localization, partnerships, or ecosystem approaches.
• Support Service Line lifecycle decisions and collaborate with Marketing and Service Line Management on 
value propositions, case studies, and customer-focused content.
• Support Sales teams with training on the service line portfolio.


Delivery Model Definition & Organizational Alignment
• Translate validated regional opportunities into scalable and operationally feasible delivery models.
• Define the roles, skills, infrastructure, technology, and processes needed to deliver value in the region.
• Align Operations, Service Lines, Quality, Resourcing, and Commercial teams for seamless execution.
• Ensure offerings can be piloted, validated, and scaled in alignment with regional expectations.

 

Financial Model & Customer Value Logic
• Build regional financial models starting from customer business cases.
• Quantify customer value, willingness-to-pay, and commercial logic based on regional economics.
• Evaluate cost structures, delivery economics, scalability, ROI, and risk frameworks tailored to the region.
• Ensure decisions on new services are based on real customer demand, profitability, and feasibility rather 
than assumptions.


Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Contribute to the definition and execution of regional market strategies.
• Collaborate with Divisional Management, Regional Business Execution, and Sales Leadership to ensure 
consistent messaging and strategic alignment.
• Ensure positive customer relationships across all interfaces and alignment with other Divisions.
• Support compliance, data quality, and adherence to ROSEN standards and execution guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related discipline, or equivalent 
    experience in a related industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, Strategy, or Market Development 
    roles within asset integrity management or related industries.

Qualification or Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking abilities supported by analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic regional environments.
  • High level of market expertise and understanding of industry-specific operational and commercial 
    models.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into portfolio and delivery requirements.
  • Demonstrated understanding of regional market dynamics, customer value logic, and competitive 
    landscapes.
  • Experience in influencing cross-functional teams and shaping portfolio or business model 
    decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex customer relationships and strategic partnerships
