ROSEN is looking for a Procurement Specialist that will be based in Mexico City, MX. This position reports directly to the Head of Procurement and will be a part of the Procurement team.
What role you will play in our team
As a Procurement Specialist, the role manages the end-to-end procurement process, including creating purchase orders in SAP, maintaining materials masters, tracking vendor performance, and supporting sourcing, negotiation, and cost-saving initiatives. The Procurement Specialist also collaborates with internal stakeholders and Finance, analyzes spending trends, ensures compliance with procedures, and trains team members to optimize procurement operations.
• Create purchase orders from purchase requisitions via SAP.
• Track and analyze vendor delivery, service, and quality performance.
• Maintain SAP materials masters needed for compliance of API Q1 requirements.
• Optimize and maintain strong supplier relationships while working with internal stakeholders to identify and execute cost-savings opportunities.
• Effectively negotiate with suppliers and vendors to support ROSEN's business goals.
• Monitor and resolve procurement/sourcing concerns, assist in returns, and provide alternative solutions to achieve cost reduction while maintaining quality.
• Ensure all relevant documentation, approvals, and cost-center allocations are accurate prior to purchase order processing.
• Facilitate competitive bids/quotations to fulfill statements of work.
• Support the full sourcing process, including scope development, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, and execution.
• Collaborate with the Finance department on GR and other system maintenance.
• Prepare and issue timely spend reports to stakeholders.
• Utilize SAP reports to analyze trends and spending.
• Train and coach team members to ensure strong performance and output.
• Identify and assist in developing training opportunities to increase program knowledge of procurement activities.
• Regularly review and update internal procurement procedures and guidelines as needed.
• Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 3-4 years in procurement experience preferred.
• Strong background in and understanding of Procurement operating systems including SAP
• Must have computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must be experienced in a fast-paced, professional, customer service driven team environment.
• Proven negotiator, able to facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback on cost, quality and delivery performance.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain processes and procedures preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work procedures, technical instructions and technical references is a plus
