Technical Solution Specialist

Due to our ongoing organic growth, we are currently seeking a qualified permanent full-time Technical Solutions Specialist (ADIA Lead) to join our Sales, Proposals and Contracts team in Calgary, Alberta. The ability to interact with staff in a fast paced environment, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Closely cooperating with leading Sales Manager during the Advanced Diagnostic’s pre-bid review;
  • Working with Sales to define a solution for qualified opportunities and develop a strategy to lead against competitor bids;
  • Collaborate on and provide the proposed scope of the solution for services meeting client needs and ROSEN’s capabilities, in line with the Sales Manager sales strategy;
  • Works hand in hand with the sales team and supports ROSEN by conducting Risk Assessments to ensure that exposure to technical solution risk is minimized for all parties;
  • As SME, finding and discussing additional scope and efforts with operational processes where required; 
  • Full client engagement of all assets and contact for inquires;
  • Attend and engage in meetings related to sales strategy;
  • Working with Sales and clients to support tender creation by producing the scope of work and reviewing contract requirements related to ROSEN’s Product and Services portfolio;
  • Determine best suited product and services needed to fulfill the Project demands and expectations; 
  • Considers the previous working history of our client, objects and resources related;
  • Lead and support Draft Project Budget ensuring competitive market pricing;
  • Interacting with any operational processes where clarifications are required;
  • Negotiate technical solutions with operational processes; 
  • Forecast the operational cost, timing and risks associated with the technical solutions proposed;
  • Support proposal and contract specific documentation related to technical aspects of the solution;
  • Support contract review prior to formalization and proposal;
  • Stay up-to-date with ROSEN product and services portfolio, updated on new technologies and developments;
  • Update related information into the ROSEN databases and filing systems for reference purposes;
  • Access the required ROSEN databases and filing systems with regard to the technical aspects on performed product and services, all resources group wide;
  • Highlight unsolved conflict issues to Sales Manager on product, processes that can have an impact to technical risk;
  • Work with total team and engage any other manager for clarifications if required;
  • Cooperate with Legal Leads on any legal matters;
  • Cooperate with Commercial Leads on any commercial matters.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification or Skills:

  • Professional Engineer registered with APEGA, Bachelor’s Degree in Technical or related field;
  • 5-10 years of complex solution proposal creation/contract administration or/and subcontracting experience;
  • Strong team work skill set as SME for solutions and risk management;
  • Analytical problem solving and quick decision skills;
  • Proven forward facing client interaction as lead SME on highly complex ILI solutions;
  • Sound technical knowledge and good experience in ROSEN projects and portfolio beneficial;
  • Commercial knowledge and legal knowledge a plus;
  • Good knowledge of the organization structures and understanding of the ROSEN roles and functions;
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Power-BI);
  • Highly organized, flexible, and maintains extreme confidentiality;
  • Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy;
  • Must be a self-starter and be able to complete projects with limited supervision;
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
