ROSEN is looking for a permanent full-time Pipeline Integrity Senior Engineer that will be based in Calgary, Alberta.  This position reports directly to the Head of Engineering and will be a part of the Integrity Engineering team.

What role you will play in our team: 

The Senior Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in the field of pipeline integrity management and will perform various engineering analysis and consulting activities as well as develop and maintain engineering standards and procedures. A key element to the position is client focused. This individual will have superior interpersonal skills that allow them to interface with clients and regulators, discuss results, identify new opportunities, resolve issues, and think creatively.
 

Responsibilities:

What will I be doing?
•    Conduct pipeline risk assessments, integrity assessments and engineering assessments;
•    Produce high quality technical reports and deliverables;
•    Conduct quality assurance checks and approval of other integrity engineers’ reports;
•    Provide technical direction to clients regarding pipeline integrity management programs (chemical mitigation, cathodic protection, protective coatings, in-line inspection, monitoring etc.);
•    Develop and provide technical input on engineering specifications, standards and procedures;
•    Take part in developing and refining ROSEN’s best practices approach to integrity management;
•    Further ROSEN’s technical brand by writing and presenting papers at conferences;
•    Mentor and train junior Integrity Engineers in the group;
•    Establish and cultivate relationships with clients;
•    Support the sales team with clear scope of works;
•    Identify new opportunities through industry knowledge and research;
•    Work closely with other company divisions to provide clients with complete solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

What are we looking for?

Required Skill Set & Requirements
•    Have a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Engineering in a related field (mechanical, chemical or metallurgical is preferred);
•    Be a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with A.P.E.G.A.;
•    Minimum 10 years’ pipeline integrity experience;

Qualification or Skills:

•    Have relevant experience in pipeline integrity, risk assessment and integrity inspection technologies;
•    Knowledge of pipeline regulations an asset (AB, BC, SK, MB, ON, QUE and CER);
•    In-depth experience with CSA Z662;
•    Fitness-for-Service Assessments
•    Covering industry standard approaches for metal loss, deformations (dent, wrinkle, ovality), and bending strain;
•    Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment methods;
•    Finite Element Analysis and Abaqus experience as asset;
•    Experience with In-Line Inspection or other Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) is an asset;
•    Experience and familiarity with field operations an asset;
•    Prior experience in a consulting environment an asset;
•    Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills;
•    Effective communication and technical writing skills to articulate results and recommendations;
•    Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
