IT Service Technician

ROSEN Canada is currently seeking an IT Service Technician, based in Calgary, Alberta. This position reports directly to the Head of Information Technology. Please note this is an in-office role with no remote work option.

As an IT Service Technician at ROSEN, you’ll do more than just resolve tickets – you will directly contribute to the stability and security of the systems that power a global technology leader. Responsibilities:

What will I be doing?
•    Provide end-user support and technical guidance to employees.
•    Install, configure, maintain, and update IT systems, hardware, and software.
•    Identify vulnerabilities and apply patches to strengthen IT security.
•    Respond to and resolve service desk tickets with a customer-first approach.
•    Collaborate with other IT team members globally. 
•    Create, update, and maintain IT documentation.
•    Support IT-related audits and compliance activities.
•    Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees, including device setup and recovery
•    Manage the distribution, tracking, and maintenance of IT equipment.
•    Participate in IT project implementation and deployment.
•    Execute scheduled data backup

REQUIREMENTS

What are we looking for?
Required Skill Set & Requirements
•    Valid authorization to work in Canada.
•    3–4 years of IT experience, with proven expertise in end-user support.

Qualification or Skills:

•    Solid knowledge of IT systems, networks, and IT security best practices.
•    Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic networking
•    Familiarity with IT and IT-security policies, and ability to apply them in daily work.
•    Completed education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new software quickly.
•    Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is an asset.
•    Reliable, proactive, and able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
•    Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
